Al Jazeera condemns Israeli incitement to Gaza journalist Anas al-Sharif
Al Jazeera media network condemned the Israeli military for its “inciting campaign” against journalists in the Gaza Strip, including the most famous Al Jazeera Arab correspondent Anas al-Sharif.
“These ruthless efforts have been strongly condemned by the ongoing Israeli war against Gaza since the beginning of the ongoing Israeli war against Gaza,” Al Jazeera said in a statement on Friday.
“The network considers this incitement to be a dangerous attempt to justify its goal of journalists in the field.”
The claim came after Israeli Army spokesman Avichai Adraee revisited a video on social media, accusing Al-Sharif of being a member of Hamas’ military wing, a claim that it was forcibly rejected as false.

“Israel killed at least six Al Jazeera journalists in Gaza during this war. These latest baseless allegations represent efforts to create consent to kill al-Sharif.”
Al Jazeera media network said in a statement that it is “fully responsible” for the safety of its employees. It also called on states and international organizations to ensure that all journalists in Gaza are protected.
“Israel continues to hinder international journalists from entering Gaza to cover the catastrophic situation, which puts a greater burden on Al Jazeera journalists,” the network said.
It added that the journalists “have taken the responsibility to convey the truth despite the great difficulties that have suffered, including hunger, violence, horror, and a complete lack of the most basic necessities of life.”
