Pasta Evangelists open 100 British restaurants to create up to 1,500 jobs

Pasta Exangelists unveiled ambitious plans to open 100 restaurants over the next five years, with an expansion drive expected to create up to 1,500 jobs with a £30m expansion drive.
The London-based fresh pasta brand was initially used as a recipe kit delivery service before entering catering, seeking new locations and charter partners in southern England, the Midlands and southern Scotland. The company said it is also exploring the Pasta Apprentice program to attract new talent and help current employees develop a long-term career in hospitality.
Chancellor Rachel Reeves, the Chancellor of Chancellor Rachel Reeves praised the news as “good news for Britain and another vote of confidence” and added that it showed “the vitality and resilience of British businesses” as the government focused on economic growth.
Co-founder and CEO Alessandro Savelli said the company aims to be the “fastest-growing casual meal in the UK” for pasta lovers.
“Our demand for fresh, exquisite artisan pasta is growing. We hope our program will create up to 1,500 new jobs. We have hired 350 people and as part of our recruitment campaign, we are looking for options for the Pasta Apprentice program to encourage young people to enter the workplace.”
Savelli said sustainable growth was key to the company’s strategy, noting that despite the pressure on the hospitality industry, pasta evangelical missionaries have obtained five confirmed new vacancies in just three months.
The organization recently opened its first restaurant outside London in Guildford and opened a new website in Farringdon. Three additional London restaurants – Fulham, Queensway and New Oxford Street – will be launched in the coming weeks, with a total of 11.
Co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer Finn Lagun believes that the brand’s success is not only about serving catering: “A large part of our success is the experience element, our famous fresh pasta course. More than 100,000 people have learned the art of pasta at our pasta academy, and our growth plan can see the drinks a million British people have learned from our Britons.”
The expansion marks the latest stage in the company’s growth from an online food startup to a multi-channel hotel brand that combines restaurants, experiential events, and its original pasta delivery business.
