ESPN announced that Alcaraz beat Sinner in Sunday’s finals, the most watched U.S. Open final since Novak Djokovic, defeating Roger Federer in four sets in the 2015 Flushing Meadows final.

The 15-day tournament (the U.S. Open began on Sunday this year), marking ESPN’s highest tennis telecast of the year.

Sunday’s men’s final had an average of 3 million viewers on ABC, an increase of 82% from 2024. In the Women’s Championship, Aryna Sabalenka stopped Amandaka Amanda’s average racing on ESPN, with an average of 2.4 million on ESPN, compared with 2024 when Sabalenka beat Sabalenka US Jessica Pegula 7-5-5-5-5, 7-5, 7-5.

The quarterfinals attracted their biggest audience in 10 years and gained early coverage in 16 rounds, the best candidate since 2022.
