Alexander Bublik joins Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner and Alexander Zverev, the only person to make the tour finals of all three surfaces at the Lynk & Co Hangzhou Open on Monday, where he beat the Chinese wild card Wu yibing 6-3, 6-3 there.

Bublik won the Clay title in July at GSTAAD and KITZBUHEL and won the crown on Halle’s grass in June. Now, the third seed looks impressive at the ATP 250 Hard-Court event in Hangzhou. In its main performance against WU, Bublik shot 19 A’s after 61 minutes and entered the championship game.

“I’m looking forward to an uphill battle. Obviously, he’s a little tired since yesterday. It’s never easy to play someone in a particular area at home,” Bubic said. “I’m glad I’m staying strong and not giving him a lot of opportunities.”

Wu frustrated Daniil Medvedev in the quarterfinals in Hangzhou, but struggled to handle Bublik’s big game at the couple’s first Lexus ATP Head2head meeting. According to Infosys ATP Win/Loss Index, Bublik was in his career-best season 30-17 this season, with 35 wins in 2021. Bublik is looking for his third title in the last four games, his only defeat in this match against then-Jannik Sinner in the fourth round of the U.S. Open.

Bublik ranked 3-pointers in the live PIF ATP match, reaching 12th place in Turin and hopes to end the season to qualify for the Nitto ATP final for the first time. He will meet with Valentin Royer, the French qualifier in Tuesday’s championship game.

Royer continued his breakthrough week by defeating countryman Corentin Moutet 6-3, 6-2. The 24-year-old played in his first Tour semi-finals and was the fourth-place qualifier to reach the ATP Tour final this year.

Royer beat 15 winners and made 13 unmandatory mistakes at Moutet and handled left-handed court craft to win the couple’s first Lexus ATP Head2head meeting. Royer is ranked 75th in the PIF ATP Live rankings and will improve his career highest on Wednesday.
