Connie Francis, a wholesome pop star from the 1950s and 60s whose hits include Beautiful little babydied at 87.

The main stars of the former champion era
Concetta Rosemarie Franconero was born on December 12, 1937 in Newark, New Jersey, when her father presented her with a child-sized accordion. The following year, she began singing and playing musical instruments in various public events.
At the age of nine, she started to participate in TV shows, including Arthur Godfrey’s Talented Boy Scouts and Perry Como Show. It was Godfrey who suggested that she shorten her last name.
