Darwin Blanch, 17, and Alyssa Ahn, 18, won this year’s USTA 18S title, winning the main draw wildcard at the 2025 U.S. Open.

Blanch was the top seed of the tournament, and he was not on his way to the finals, where he beat the No. 8 seed Jack Sutterfield (18; Tampa, FL), 6-3, 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, Sunday in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The Florida native recently competed on the ITF World Tennis Tour and won his first professional singles title in February at the M15 event in Spain. Blanch also became the second player of the century to win the Boys’ 16 and 18 championships in Kalamazoo, and he won the 14-year-old 16 and under in 2022.
Meanwhile, Ahn also completed the USTA Billie Jean King women’s national championship in the 16th and 18 seconds, and also won 16 championships in 2022. However, this year, San Diego’s local and No. 7 seed conveniently won No. 17 seed. Maya Iyengar (18; Paradise Valley, Arizona), 6-1, 6-2, in Sunday’s singles final. Ahn plays at Stanford next season.
