Ather Energy unveils EL platform options with 2 kWh-5 kWh battery pack

Bengaluru announced a new platform on Saturday that will generate commuters, Maxi and sport electric scooters.
The EL platform offers battery pack options ranging from 2 kWh to 5 kWh.
The company aims to launch its first electric scooter from the platform next year.

The company said all of Ahther’s new electric scooters will be based on this platform.
Ather offers a wide range of electric scooter models including the Rizta, 450 seconds and 450x.
Ather Energy claims to be the first two-wheeler OEM to establish a fast-charging two-wheeler network in the country.
As of March 31, 2025, the company reported 3,611 fast chargers and neighborhood chargers worldwide – including 3,578 fast chargers and neighborhood chargers across India. Among them, there are 33 fast chargers across Nepal and Sri Lanka.
Ather Energy operates production facilities in Hosur in Whitefield, Bangalore and Tamil Nadu.
Ather launched the Rizta S in July
Last month, Ather expanded the lineup of Rizta scooters by launching the Rizta S with a 3.7 kWh battery pack.

The company said the Rizta S has an IDC range of 159 kilometers.
Ather launched the Rizta series as Ahther’s first family scooter in 2024. The model now accounts for more than 60% of Ahther’s total sales.
Ather 450 and Ather Rizta lineup
According to the company, while the Ather 450 series caters to customers looking for performance scooters, the Ather Rizta series aims to customers looking for convenience scooters for their families.
Ather Energy launched 450 electric scooters in September 2018.
