The ATP No. 1 club is not one to miss in Sunday’s BNP Paribas Open final.
This championship match not only featured former world number one Jannik Sinner and Daniil Medvedev, but also ATP No. 1 club member Andre Agassi presented the trophy to the Italian.

In 2001, Agassi won the title at Indian Wells and, completing the Sunshine Double, watched the final courtside before attending the awards ceremony.
Jim Courier, Agassi’s former rival and another ATP No. 1 Club member, is commentating on the Sinner-Medvedev duel for Tennis Channel. In 1991, Currier lifted the Indian Wells Trophy and became the first player to win the “Sunshine Double”. In 1993, the American returned to the championship circle in Indian Wells.
Sinner is the second-ranked player in the PIF ATP rankings and rose to world No. 1 for the first time in June 2024. He became the first Italian to achieve this feat. The 24-year-old reached the top spot in the world for the first time in 65 weeks and stayed there for another week after winning the Rolex Paris Masters last November.
With his 25th tour-level title, Sinner closed the gap between him and arch-rival Carlos Alcaraz in the PIF ATP rankings. Sinner trails the Spaniard by 2,200 points.
