Aviation Minister's Chair Review Meeting with Airline's Pahalgam Attack; Urges Normal Flight Recovery from May 15

Civil Aviation Union Minister Ram Mohan Naidu held a review meeting with all airlines and senior officials on Tuesday, May 11. The meeting focused on evaluating emergency response and future operations following the Pahalgam terrorist attack. During the meeting, the Minister commended the extraordinary efforts of the security forces to protect the country. He also praised the seamless coordination between the Ministry of Civil Aviation, the Civil Aviation Administration (DGCA), the Airport Authority of India (AAI) and airlines, which ensures minimal disruption and rapid response in emergencies.
“After the Pahargam terrorist attack, I thank the security forces for their extraordinary efforts in maintaining our country. In addition, in this emergency, seamless coordination between the ministry, DGCA, AAI and airlines.”
As Notam (notification to pilots) responding to the incident will expire on May 15, the Minister advises all airlines to resume normal flight operations at 32 affected airports from the same date. According to the ministry, all airlines responded positively to the proposal.
He shared in the Post: “With Notam’s end on May 15, I recommend that airlines resume their normal schedule at all 32 airports.
Naidu is proud of the aviation sector’s response, highlighting the ministry’s ongoing commitment to the principle of “national first”.
Ram Mohan added: “We, the Ministry of Civil Aviation, are honored to witness the aviation sector's commitment to unify the 'National First' with a unified commitment. With the ongoing support of airlines, airport operators and other partners, the Ministry will stand firmly with the armed forces.”
