Amanda Anisimova will miss this week’s Credit One Charleston Open. The world No. 6, who also recently announced she was parting ways with long-time coach Hendrik Fleishewors, said she suffered an injury at the Miami Open, where she lost 2-6, 2-6 to Belinda Bencic in the round of 16.

“I am truly sorry to miss this year’s Charleston Open,” Anisimova said in a tweet posted by the event. “I was injured at the Miami Open and, following medical advice, I made the difficult decision to withdraw and focus on recovery. I have always loved playing in front of the fans in Charleston and the support there means a lot to me. I hope to be back next year and see everyone.”

Anisimova reached the Charleston semifinals twice, in 2022 and 2025.
