This is not good for Brandt. He said Sanders’ slip into the fifth round was “a soccer story of drunk media stories.”

“It became one of these earthquake media rodeo shows where you could sit and watch what you said over the years, you know what they don’t believe, or at best they say from some emotionally, they’re so at a loss without booking… I mean, I mean, I’m hearing conspiracy, collusion, what are you talking about?” Brandt asked.

“You don't think if a team thinks that Shedeur Sanders will help them win more games than another guy, they won't draft him right away? They will. I promise you. I promise you. These coaches, these GMSs are obsessed with, desperate, nomadic people, they just want to win the game, not to get fired and not move their families to another city.”

Brandt described the media conversation as “offensive” that it puts NFL fans in rooting with “Sanders” because of how experts convey their negative opinions on the matter.

He continued, “It’s sad and stupid.” “When something is so far away, like this story has come to Mars, it’s in the ether, it’s so reckless in the comments, you have to look for some simple facts. … No team fell in love with Shedeur in the draft.

Brandt, in theory, wouldn't want his celebrity and his attention if the team didn't play Sanders right away, especially as a backup quarterback.

“I don't know if this is a crazy crazy thing, and now I can keep up with all the leaders talking about Shedeur, but that's my only actual reaction to what's going on.”
