Arizona driver said his engine caught while driving on the highway a few days after the oil change

A regular oil change should help your car run longer and perform better, but after a few days after Travis Brun’s engine stopped in local 5 oil changes, he was shocked to find his oil pan with dry bones.

“It sounds like someone puts cinder blocks in a mixer and lets go,” Bren shared with Azfamily.

Shortly after hearing the shocking sound, all dash warning lights began to flash on Bren’s car. The car then stopped, forcing Bren to call the trailer.

Now Brun finds himself using a destroyed engine and believes that Brun’s story all constitutes an oil change shop.

Regular maintenance becomes a major headache

Bren is not the type of person who delays maintenance of cars. “I’m a sticker saying I’m going to change the oil when to change the oil, to change the oil,” Bren said.

Shortly after his car broke down, Bren dragged it to a repair center in Chandler, Arizona, and the mechanics found the engine had completely caught it. According to the mechanic, there is only one way the engine can happen: run it without any oil. Frustrated by the situation, the couple contacted Azfamily’s “Around You” investigation team. When journalist Gary Harper reached out to take the 5, the company said it had reviewed its service video and could confirm that everything could be done correctly with Brun’s oil change.

“After talking to the customer and his preferred car body shop and thoroughly reviewing our service video, we can confirm that the oil was filled correctly during the visit and that Taylor Blanchard, senior corporate communications director at the conference hall on Take 5, tightened firmly during the 5 o’clock visit.” “There is no indication that 5 oil changes were at fault.”

But, due to paradoxical claims, these vehicles are now trapped in vehicles that will not start. Worse, the brunette was forced to put the car in the storage room and is now paying for storage.

How to fight back after suspicious repairs

While the Bruns situation is an extreme example, in most cases the federal government provides protection when dealing with negligent car repairs:

1. The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act provides protection and establishes warranty standards, and holds service providers are responsible for their obligations.

2. The Federal Trade Commission oversees unfair and deceptive business practices and can take action against businesses that violate standard business practices.

1. The Arizona Attorney General’s Department of Consumer Protection is responsible for complaints against auto repair shops. The office can investigate cases, mediate disputes, and, if necessary, take legal action against businesses that violate consumer protection laws.

2. The Arizona Small Claims Court offers a straightforward path to compensation that can be compensated up to $3,500, eliminating the need for attorneys.

3. Complaints to the Arizona Better Business Bureau create public records of issues that sometimes help resolve disputes through its mediation process.

Additionally, you should always contact local authorities to better understand the consumer protection measures available in your state.
