Army reveals the scale of damage caused to DC streets after Trump’s military parade

The U.S. Army conducted a preliminary assessment of the damage caused by heavy tanks to Washington, D.C. roads, a key part of President Donald Trump’s celebration of the military’s 250th birthday.

The president ordered a luxurious parade to commemorate the formation of the military on June 14, which also happens to be Trump’s birthday.

Prior to the incident, city officials had been concerned that the tanks involved could put improper pressure on the streets of Washington, which could require millions of dollars in maintenance work to repair.

The budget for the celebration is estimated at $45 million, with $16 million of which is spent on road repairs. Organizers moved ahead of time and placed thick metal plates up to 20 feet at turn points along the route to relieve stress, which cost $3 million.

Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser said in a speech ahead of the event that she was “concerned” about the potential scope of damage.

“In most cases, these are local streets and if they become unusable, we have to make them available,” she said.

“Maybe we’ll fix it and then seek our money from the Fed. It makes me worry about leading the cost and waiting for them to come back.”

However, the Army was pleased to conclude that the damage to the capital’s expressways and bypasses was minimal.

“A tank hit the curb and the curb was broken – crushed,” spokesman Steve Warren said. “So we’re going to fix this. But now, that’s the only damage we’ve determined.”

He added that “underground” assessments of the roads are still underway to check for damaged underground cables or other infrastructures from the march.

German Guard, spokesman for the Washington, D.C. Department of Transportation, also said that visual investigations of urban roads showed no obvious problems.

Meanwhile, the National Park Service waits for a month to finalize federally controlled roads such as the mall and George Washington Parkway.

Warren also revealed that the final attendance of the march was about 198,000, which was less than the White House claimed by the 250,000 people.

The event itself largely did not occur unfavorable events and seemed to achieve its goals. However, the president is allegedly angry behind the scenes at U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth because he believes it is for showing pleasant behavior.

“He has proposed to the soldiers,” Trump biographer Michael Wolff declared. Daily BeastPodcast in its consequences.

“He accused them of hammering it up, so it seemed that he meant they had a good time, waving, they were enjoying themselves and showing joyful faces rather than military faces.”

On the same day, hours after Minnesota Democrat Melissa Hortman and her husband were murdered by political assassins, millions were taken to the streets of American cities to hold a “King No” protest against Trump’s “King No” protest and was killed against the backdrop of conflicts between Los Angeles and the Middle East.
