By slamming asteroids at the field plan to reach Mars on the ground

Usually The more you study and understand the planets, the more likely you are to live. For example, Mars is the closest object to Earth in terms of distance, but the data suggests that its conditions are very harmful to life.

Nevertheless, NASA plans to send astronauts to the Red Planet, and Elon Musk is a voice supporter of building human existence there. In the short term, the solution to colonizing Mars is to build special enclosed habitats. But in the long run, some have proposed more ambitious strategies. Space colonization enthusiasts have proposed the terrain of Mars, that is, transforming the Earth into obtaining features similar to Earth.

Scientists believe any suggestions on topography of Mars are decades away, although calculations have been made to evaluate how this Titanic works. Leszek Czechowski, a professor at the Institute of Geophysics, Polish Academy of Sciences, proposed how to transform a rusty planet into a place where humans can walk without space suits. To achieve this, the researchers recommend bombing it with asteroids far away from the solar system.

Mars is a desert planet with no oxygen and a thin atmosphere to prevent its surface area from gathering. These characteristics will not change without first addressing atmospheric pressure. If a person is not protected to the surface of Mars, they will not die of suffocation or freezing, but because their blood boils almost immediately due to lack of atmosphere.

On Earth, atmospheric pressure is due to the total mass of gas contained in its dense atmosphere. Here, at sea level, the pressure is equivalent to 101,325 pascals; on Mars, it hardly reaches 600 pascals, less than 1% of the Earth's pressure. Therefore, to start forming the terrain, scientists must first thicken the atmosphere of Mars. Other major challenges will then be addressed at subsequent stages, such as extreme temperatures, preventing solar radiation and the presence of water.

Every scientist exploring the Martian terrain came to the same conclusion: there is simply not enough material on Earth to change its atmosphere, and any attempt to transport elements there represents an unprecedented energy consumption.

The solution to Czechsky's problem is to bomb the planet with asteroids. In his proposal, large asteroids will be launched directly on the huge impact crater in the southern hemisphere of Mars. According to this theory, the influence of a considerable asteroid (including elements essential for the habitability of the Earth) can cause Mars to heat up, while also causing its atmosphere to thicken.

But it's not just any asteroid, it has to be a lot of water and nitrogen. This immediately ruled out anything in the asteroid belt of the solar system between Jupiter and Mars. Instead, any large rock needs to come from the Kuiper belt, a disk of material surrounding the outer solar system and filled with frozen objects and raw water.
