There is no doubt that this information will inflate the feathers of anyone who is consistent with those toxic beliefs, and it’s great to see a sensational superhero movie that feels like this is actually solving the problems of today’s world.
David Corenswet’s performance as Clark Kent is an anchor outside of scripts. Gone are the stoic Demi-God we’ve been in trouble in the movie for nearly two decades. Corenswet captures optimism that defines Superman for comic fans and other iterations such as TV shows I’m going on an adventure with Superman.
But it’s not only charming and sweet nature, which makes Colensweet the best big-screen superman since Christopher Reeve. Lex Luthor believes he wants to help others, but his motivation is based solely on his selfish hatred of Superman, ultimately both destructive and indifferent to the actual people.
It’s really exciting to see the rise and rise of superhero movies being the main action myth in pop culture, but seeing most of these movies and TV shows end up feeling like they’re actually anything worthwhile outside of the basic character theme.
