Jana Kramer details the inspiration of the new Jesse James Decker duo

Kramer, 41, drew inspiration from her real-life experiences.
“I wrote this song when I was a single mom [and] I was single at that time. ” she told US Weekly In her new track by Decker, 37, she points out that she wants to write a “girl’s national anthem, but don’t be cheesy.”
“I actually went to Los Angeles and it was a bad date. I wrote the song the next day. I was like, ‘I don’t even want to feel bad about the bad date I just had.'” Kramer recalled.

Kramer was a single mom when she wrote the song, but when she introduced the concept to Decker, she was pregnant with baby number 3.
“We were all pregnant at that time,” Kramer told us. “So ‘Okay, we have to do that.’ She agreed and then we were like, “Okay, we have to have kids and then we’ll do it. ”
Kramer welcomed her and Russell’s son Roman in November 2023. The couple ended in January 2024 before having a formal wedding in Scotland in July.
Meanwhile, Decker welcomed his son Denver with her husband, Eric, 38, in February 2024.

She continued: “Just women support women. It’s so pretty. That’s how much I love this song, and it’s the same message, you know – women who can do it all and smile on your face.”
Decker smiled, “It’s not because you need to smile on your face, but because you’re a bad guy, that’s what we do. We can multitask, you know, make a pie, go do our job and feed the baby at the same time.”
