Axis Bank Q4 results: PAT is Rs 711.18 crore, missing analyst estimates; Re 1 dividend announcement

Axis Bank Q4 FY25 results: Private-sector lender Axis Bank reported on Thursday that net profit for the quarter ended March 31 was Rs 7.1118 crore, almost unchanged from the corresponding period a year ago, but slightly below analyst expectations.
Its net interest income (or the difference between the interest earned and the interest paid) was 5.5% year-on-year to Rs 13,81 crore.
According to ZEE business research, Axis Bank's net profit is estimated to be Rs 71.91 crore and net interest income is Rs 13.85 crore.

Axis Bank's net interest margin (NIM) is a key measure of lender profitability, improving by 4 basis points in turn to 3.97%.
In the fiscal year ended March 31, its NIM revenue was 3.98%.
“Taking the uncertain macro and strict liquidity environment, profitability is prioritized over growth while continuing to meaningfully invest in making the franchise more sustainable,” Amitabh Chaudhry said.
Chaudhry added: “As we enter FY26, we believe the operational environment is improving and this should help us improve our growth and profitability.”
Improved asset quality of Axis Bank
The lender's asset quality has been improved, reflected in the subsequent reduction of its non-performing assets (NPA) or non-performing loans.
Its net nonperforming assets (GNPA) is 1.28%, and net nonperforming assets (NNPA) is 0.33%, down 18 basis points and 2 basis points on a quarter-quarter basis.
Axis Bank regulations and accidents
The lender reports the regulations and surprises were Rs 135.9 crore in the last quarter of fiscal 25.
Deposits and loans
As of March 31, the bank's loans rose by 8%, up 10% year-on-year.
CASA ratio
The lender's CASA ratio increased by 200 basis points (BP) to 41%.
A higher CASA ratio means more cost-effective cash acquisition and vice versa.
Fiscal Year 25 earnings
In the fiscal year ended March 31, the bank's net profit increased by 6.0% to Rs 263,73 crore.
