B12 Gummy Vitamin is recalled nationwide due to undeclared peanut allergen

Various B12 gummy vitamin products have been recalled due to unannounced peanut allergens.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued an announcement on Friday for Vita Warehouse Corp., the manufacturer of the product Welby, Berkley Jensen and Vitaglobe.
The New York-based company confirmed to Fox News Digital that it issued a volunteer recall of one lot of Welby-brand Vitamin B12 Energy Support gummy product 1000 mcg 140 gummies, Berkely Jensen Vitamin B12 1000 mcg 250 Gummies, and VitaGlobe Vitamin B12 Extra Strength 60 Gummies due to the “potential presence of undeclared peanuts.”

“People who are allergic to peanuts or are seriously sensitive to peanuts can have the potential risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume these products.”

The products are reportedly distributed in retail stores of Aldi and BJ across the country, as well as online at Aldi.us, bjs.com, vitaglobe.com and Amazon.
According to the company, as of June 12, there were no diseases or allergic reactions.

Vita Warehouse released a recall containing the following product descriptions, including the lot number and expiration date at the bottom of the bottle.

The company said the recall was “verification of the accuracy of allergen-related claims on its product label, especially the accuracy of “statements that do not include peanuts” after Aldi performed routine testing.”
“One test result indicates the presence of potential peanut allergens,” Vita Warehouse noted.

“Although internal testing conducted by Vita Warehouse Corp. has verified that there are no peanuts in the product, the recall is out of caution to ensure the safety and trust of consumers.”
Vita Warehouse confirmed that no other Welby, Berkley Jensen or Vitaglobe branded products were affected by the recall.
“Any consumer experiencing an allergic reaction should seek medical care immediately.”
Those who are allergic to peanuts and have purchased the product (the alleged batch number and expiration date) urge them to return it to the purchase location for a full refund or discard it immediately.
