BHARTI AIRTEL Q1 results: Profit of Rs 59,480 crore, 250 ARPU, telecom giant Beats Street forecast

Bharti Airtel Q1 FY26 Revenue: Bharti Airtel, a New Delhi-based headquarters, met street expectations on Tuesday for net profit from April to June. Its consolidated net profit was Rs 59,479 crore in the quarter ended June 30, which was down sequentially converted to 46.0%. Adjusted net profit rose 3.0% to Rs 71,650 crore.
The telecom company said its earnings were driven by strong domestic performance and a rebound in operations in Africa.
According to regulatory documents, telecom service providers’ June-quarter revenue rose 3.3% to Rs 494,626 crore, up from Rs 478,762 crore in the past three months.
The top and bottom lines are along the expected lines.
According to Zee Business Research, Bharti Airtel’s net profit is estimated to be Rs 6024 crore and revenue for the June quarter was Rs 487,400 crore.
The company’s Indian division revenue was Rs 375,85 crore, marking a quarter-quarter growth of 2.3 per cent and gaining improved mobile realization and strong momentum in its housing business, the telecom company said.
How is Bharti airtel’s operational performance?
Bharti Airtel’s operating profit increased to Rs 278,39 crore from Rs 27,009 crore in the previous quarter.
Its profit margin (a key measure of profitability) was 56.28%, and it was 56.41% in the March quarter. That was almost the expected line.
ZEE business analysts estimate Airtel’s profit margin is 56.3%.
Bharti airtel subscription and average revenue
Compared to the previous quarter, the average revenue of private sector telecom companies was Rs 5 and the average revenue per user was Rs 250.
According to Zee Business Research, the telecom company’s first quarter ARPU was fixed at Rs 248.
The average revenue of ARPU or per user is an important indicator that determines the average amount earned by a telecom service provider from each subscriber or user. This is a key measure of sales for telecom companies.
ARPU’s improvement is as its subscriptions grow 2.5% to 6.055 billion. Meanwhile, the company’s smartphone data subscriber base has increased by 3.9 million in turn, accounting for 77% of its overall mobile customer base.

Revenues from telecom operators’ domestic mobile services business grew 2.9% to Rs 27,396.6 crore, contributing nearly 50% of revenue.
Revenue from the mobile services business in Africa grew by 6.2% to Rs 12,0834 crore. The unit accounts for 21.9% of overall sales.

Bharti Airtel Stock
Earlier on Tuesday, Bharti Airtel’s shares rose by Rs 14.7, or 0.8%, to close at Rs 1,929.8, with BSE’s title Index Sensex bettering the 308.5-point decline.
At this level, LargeCap Telecom shares have risen 21% so far this year, outperforming the Nifty50 3.8%.
