Most farmers in India, especially those in rural areas of the country, rely entirely or seriously on the crucial monsoon season for irrigation.

Monsoon rainfall in the country mainly affects Kharif crops such as rice, cotton, corn, soybeans and sugar cane. Usually, the seeding of these crops is sown during the monsoon season, which usually begins in June and lasts until October. And rely heavily on these rainfalls to grow.
