BMW, Momena agrees to cooperate in ADAS development

BMW Group announced that it has signed a new cooperation agreement with Momensa, a Chinese driver (ADAS) technology company, to jointly develop advanced driver assistance solutions for the Chinese market.
The German automaker confirmed that the deal would allow it to expand its “ground area in China’s digital innovation sector”, allowing it to expand its technology portfolio in China. The collaboration will initially focus on developing and integrating Neue Klasse’s systems.
BMW said the partnership will be based on its “combining intelligent interaction, control and ADA’s driving philosophy to the best interests of drivers in all cases.” It will use advanced AI algorithms and data-driven development methods specifically targeting China’s road networks, traffic conditions and software development that users expect.
“This collaboration among partners who share the same mindset will allow us to provide our customers in China with a very unique autonomous driving experience. We combine more than 20 years of pioneer safety with trained driving knowledge and fine arts in driving in China’s AI AI Technologies.”
Sean Green, CEO of BMW Group Region China, added: “This expands BMW’s collaboration with Chinese tech companies that interact with digital ecosystems and AI-based users and extends to the ADAS domain.”
“BMW, Momenta agrees to collaborate on ADAS development” was originally created and released by Just Auto, a brand owned by GlobalData.
