Langley RCMP says

Police said a motorcyclist died after a crash on Highway 1 in Langley, British Columbia on Saturday night.

Langley RCMP said emergency services responded to a collision in the westbound lane of the highway and the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene despite life-saving efforts by health care workers and firefighters.

“Our mind is with the family and loved ones of individuals who have lost their lives,” Sgt. Langley RCMP’s Zynal Sharoom said in a statement Monday.

Mounties said collision analysts, BC Highway Patrol and Langley RCMP have now investigated.

The westbound lane between 264 and 232nd Streets was closed for more than eight hours and reopened around 5 a.m. Sunday, according to DriveBC.

Police said anyone who sees a crash or may have a dashboard lens should contact Langley RCMP.
