EX-WCW Star Buff Bagwell Right Leg Amputation

His friend Steve Stasiak wrote on social media on Friday that the great professional wrestling Buff Bagwell had surgery to amputate his right leg above his right knee.

Staciac wrote on Facebook that Bagwell’s name is Marcus Bagwell, due to complications from his injuries in a 2020 car accident. Staciak said the damage was never completely healed.

“I’ve known him for a long time. I’ve seen him in the spotlight, I’ve seen him behind the scenes, and I’ve seen him fight on things most people have never even heard of. It…it’s hard,” Stasiak’s post read. “To him. To everyone who knows and loves him.

“The damage from his 2020 accident has never fully recovered. He gave him everything to avoid this outcome, but the battle brought him here. Now a whole new battle has begun.

“Buff is one of the smartest stars in the Wild Age of Wrestling. He makes you look. He makes you care. But it’s his person as a person – the lights, beyond the characters – I hope people think about it today.”

When his surgery X arrived at X, the Pro Wrestling World provided Bagwell with their thoughts and prayers on social media.

Bagwell, 55, competed in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) from 1991 to 2001, and then briefly participated in WWE after purchasing a rival North American promotion. He also fought for totally uninterrupted action wrestling and others.

He has been a five-time WCW TAG-TEAM champion and ranked 66th among the top 500 wrestlers in 1999 by Pro Wrestling Illustrated.
