Boundary High Alert: Introduction to AJIT DOVAL PM Modi

Ahead of the party-wide meeting on Thursday, National Security Adviser (NSA) AJIT DOVAL met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and introduced him to the situation of developments on the Western border and after Operation Sindor.

According to sources, the meeting lasted nearly an hour at the Prime Minister's residence.

After meeting with the NSA, the league's Home Secretary will also meet with the Prime Minister.

The briefing was caused by the death of 13 civilians in Jamu and Kashmir in heavy shelling in Pakistan. According to the government, these are civilian casualties in Pakistan along the LOC’s ceasefire, all in Ponchi. The number of injured people has risen to 59. 44 of them are in the pocket.

The country's western border has been on guard and has been sealed in Rajasthan and other states. Leaves of government staff have been cancelled and schools and other educational institutions have been closed that day. The airspace of western cities has been closed until May 10.

Security and defense systems are in high-active mode. The multi-layer air defense network has been fully activated, with several front-line warships deployed in infantry departments along the Arabian Sea and along the border, ready to deal with any situation.

The Centre convened a party-wide meeting to introduce the parties to the strategic strike – three military operations against nine high-value terrorist sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK).

The Centre introduced political leaders to the full party meeting, which began at 11 a.m., the military strike to the target, the goal, strategic and security implications of the operation and preparations for any retaliation in Pakistan.

The government will also brief opposition leaders on the borders and the coronavirus pandemic that India is ready to meet any unexpected situation.

The precise strike was launched in the early hours of Wednesday morning and lasted only 25 minutes. Between 1.05 and 1.30 a.m., 24 missiles were deployed to attack nine terrorist facilities, including Lashkar-e-Taiba's headquarters in Muridke and the main terrorist training site in Bahawalpur – long considered a breeding ground for extremist operations.

India stressed that the action was not an escalation, but a calculation and proportional response to the terrorist attacks in Pahargam, Jamu and Kashmir on April 22, where 26 civilians, including Nepali nationals, were killed. “Our actions have been centrally focused on, measuring and non-reducing. There are no military facilities targeting Pakistan. India has shown considerable limitations in selecting goals and implementing methods,” the government said in a statement.
