MaxPu defeated San Beda University's 25-18, 25-18, 25-23 victory on Sunday, which led to the former winning 25-18, 25-18, 25-23 victory in four games of the Magic in the 100 Women's Volleyball Finals in the NCAA season 100 Women's Volleyball Finals.
Freighanne Garcia walked her team with 12 points, including some key hits in the third set when the Cardinals resisted the late challenge of Lady Red Lady.
Gregchelle Cabadin and Raissa Janel Ricablanca also made 11 and 10 hits respectively.
This is a much-needed victory for Mapua as it snatched from three games, which made it stumble outside the helm after the first round elimination.
Now the Cardinal Lady recovered with their winning style.
In the earlier men's match, San Beda pulled the carpet with a 13-25, 25-20, 25-16, 25-20 shock from leading Mapua and supported the former's final four bid.
The Red Spikes raised to 7-6 while the Cardinal stumbled to 12-2 but remained at the helm. – Joey Villar
