Israel attacks Yemen after Houthi attacks Tel Aviv airport

Israel said on Monday it retaliated against repeated attacks by Hotis, Yemen by hitting multiple targets belonging to the “Houthi terrorist regime.”

Israel said it hit the infrastructure at the Hadada port, a “central supply” of Iran-backed Hushis, and also hit the Bajil concrete plant east of the city. The IDF said in a telegram that the port is used to transfer Iranian weapons and other military equipment.

The factory is a “important” source of revenue for Houthis, and also produces products used to manufacture underground tunnels and “terror infrastructure,” the IDF wrote.

Hushis's Ministry of Health said at least 21 people were injured in Israel's strike.

Witnesses told the DPA that violent explosions shocked the city and found smoke and flames rising from the Hudaydah port and the Bajil factory. They added that they heard ambulances rushing toward the factory.

The strike happened a day after Hotis was injured when he fired a ballistic missile at Ben Gurion International Airport outside Tel Aviv.

Since the Gaza conflict began in October 2023, Houthi militias have repeatedly attacked Israeli and international merchant ships in support of their ally Hamas.

After Israeli troops resumed attacks in the Gaza Strip after a ceasefire on March 18, Huthis resumed regular launches of projectiles at Israel.
