Can Carlos Alcaraz win the ATP year-end No. 1 ranking awarded by PIF for the third time next season?
The world number one enters the new season with a career-high eighth title and 71 match wins, according to the Infosys ATP Win-Loss Index.
The Spaniard has been training hard ahead of the 2026 ATP Tour season. Getty Images’ Clive Brunskill captured the 22-year-old during a training day in Murcia on December 24, giving fans a glimpse into Alcaraz’s performance on and off the pitch.

About two weeks ago, news broke that Alcaraz had split from longtime coach Juan Carlos Ferrero. The 22-year-old has been training under the supervision of Samuel Lopez, who officially joined the team ahead of last season.

Alcaraz is the winner of the Australian Open, completing a career Grand Slam. The six-time Grand Slam champion has two wins in each of the other three Grand Slam tournaments: Roland Garros, Wimbledon and the U.S. Open. He also holds the ATP Masters 1000 title eight times.

Alcaraz is next scheduled to compete in the Australian Open in Melbourne. He reached the quarterfinals of the event earlier this year before losing to 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic.
