The fast-growing canyon fire is threatening the areas around Piru and castiac along Ventura Los Angeles County.
The fire is left and right in the small town of Piru, near Holser Canyon Road, not far from Castaic Junction, a small town on the small town where Interstate 5 will encounter Highway 126.
It has grown to over 1,000 acres in two hours, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire.
Evacuation order
In these areas, evacuation has been ordered:
- In Ventura County in the Piru Lake Recreation Area; east of Piru Canyon Road leads to the Los Angeles County Line; east of PIRU Community (East of Center Street and Route 126 to the Los Angeles County Line).
- In Los Angeles County, the Hasley Canyon and Romero Canyon areas, east of the county line, north of Romero Canyon and south of Romero Canyon Road. . Details are here.
