Canyon fire in California: evacuation zones, road closures

The fast-growing canyon fire is threatening the areas around Piru and castiac along Ventura Los Angeles County.

The fire is left and right in the small town of Piru, near Holser Canyon Road, not far from Castaic Junction, a small town on the small town where Interstate 5 will encounter Highway 126.

It has grown to over 1,000 acres in two hours, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire.

Evacuation order

In these areas, evacuation has been ordered:
