Alcaraz arrived in Florida chasing his second title in Miami, having lifted his first ATP Masters 1000 trophy at the 2022 event. Meanwhile, Sinner is in high spirits after his victory at Indian Wells, where he defeated Daniil Medvedev to move just one title away from completing the coveted Sunshine Double.
The 24-year-old Italian has an impressive 19-3 record in Miami and has also won the 2024 event, according to the Infosys ATP Win/Loss Index.
The two must meet in Miami in the final. If both stars advance, it will mark the 17th event of their fast-growing rivalry, with Alcaraz currently leading their Lexus ATP Head2Head series 10-6.
Alcaraz, who lost to Medvedev in the Indian Wells semi-finals, could face Brazilian João Fonseca in a blockbuster opening match at #NextGenATP. Meanwhile, Sinner starts against Ignacio Booth or Damir Zumhur.
The hard-court ATP Masters 1000 event will be held in Miami from March 18 to 29.
