Bill Belichick returns to the center stage after a high-profile TV interview.
Belichick's girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, was accused of sitting down with a former NFL coach and claiming control of himself with “CBS News Sunday Aunday Morning.” The interview is part of a promotional journey for Bilichick’s new book The Art of Winning – The Lessons of Football in My Life.
The days since the review of the interviews, the numbers in the sports world and beyond have shared their thoughts. Former NBA star and current broadcaster Charles Barkley was one of the latest on Wednesday.

In an interview with long-time sports broadcaster Dan Patrick, Barkley described Belichick as one of his “real good friends.”
“Well, that's a very slippery topic for me because Bill is one of my true good friends,” Barkley told Patrick. “I'm not-I'm not sure what's going on. You know, he's a good friend to me. We've been friends since he coached for Brown. I think he has to be very careful right now. It starts on a very slippery slope.”

Barkley also warned that he usually avoids relationships in bars. However, he did raise concerns about “something” that happened between Berichick and Hudson, which he said could prompt him to engage with the North Carolina football coach.

“He was the greatest football coach of all time. He and Nick Saban. It's not a good look right now.”
In a recent interview with CBS, one question was the way Belichick and Hudson first met quickly turned their heads. Hudson said before Belishik's answer: “We're not talking about this.”
After the interview, Belichick claimed that some interview prerequisites were not maintained.

“I clearly spoke with the public relations staff at Simon & Schuster and any promotional interviews I attended agreed to focus only on the content of the book,” a statement from Belichick said. “Unfortunately, this expectation was not respected in the interview.”
The six-time Super Bowl coach also targeted CBS' Tony Dokoupil, accusing him of raising “unrelated topics,” which Belichick claims prompted Hudson to speak out during the interview.
“I repeatedly and repeatedly to journalist Tony Dokoupil and the producers who prefer to put the conversation in the book,” the statement added. “This is after a few times, Jordon shared his personal and professional relationship with me, stepping in and reiterating that to help reinvest the discussion.”
“She didn’t deflect any specific questions or topics, but just did her own work to make sure the interview stayed on track.”

Hudson also seems to have mastered Belichick's career. She lost the chance to attend HBO's “Hard Knocks” for the criticism reported in North Carolina. According to the movement, Hudson played a “tool role” in HBO, plugging in a potentially produced plug for a UNC-centric documentary.
The report also noted that Hudson had asked to “participate in the project.”
Belichick, 73, has been in public with the 24-year-old Hudson since 2023.
