Can Italy not have one, but two players in the singles field of the prestigious Nitto ATP final?
Jannik Sinner has booked the finale of the season, while countryman Lorenzo Musetti is ranked eighth in the PIF ATP live match. The next two months will be decisive for the 23-year-old Italian and debuted at the end of the year event on the homeland.
Musetti led the lead at the Chengdu Open this week, reaching last year’s final before falling to his favorite Shang Juncheng at home. Musetti’s best results this season include his last appearance in Monte Carlo’s mom and then a semi-final in Madrid, Roma and Roland Garros. The two Tour-level Taylor list reached the quarterfinals of the U.S. Open, and the sinner removed him.
PIF ATP Live Competition to Turin
If Musetti joins Sinner in Turin, it will mark two Italians eligible for the Nitto ATP final. In 2021, Matteo Berrettini was eligible for the event but withdrew from the game after a match due to a abdominal injury. Sinner, the first replacement replaced Beretini. The 24-year-old sinner has qualified for his own merits over the past two seasons. Last year, he won the game without letting it go.
So far, the top pick Alcaraz and the second-place Sinner are the only singles qualifiers. No. 5 Sheldon and Musetti aim to make their Nitto ATP final debut. Andrey Rublev (11th) and Alexander Bublik (15th) are trying to compete this week. Rublev and Bublik will be on the Lynk & Co Hangzhou Open.

The doubles field can also be characterized by the Italian identity, for the Turin community to be backward. Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori are ranked sixth on the PIF ATP Live Tag Team, and they have collected four Tour champions this season: Adelaide, Rotterdam, Hamburg and Washington. They also competed in the Australian Open finals and the championship match at Harley.
British duo Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool ranked first in the PIF ATP tag team rankings. They led 830 points in second place Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos. Granollers and Zeballos won the U.S. Open, where they saved three championship points, defeating Neal Skupski and Joe Salisbury in an exciting final.
