Corona Update (May 29): Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Bihar and other states report new Covid-19 cases; Thailand surges a lot

Indian states such as Rajasthan, Bihar and Maharashtra have reported new coronavirus cases and some deaths have also been reported. According to Maharashtra Public Health Department, 86 new cases of Covid were found on Wednesday, May 28. Meanwhile, six patients died from the coronavirus and had potential health conditions.
Kuvid in Rajasthan
With a surge in co-cases in Rajasthan, Dr Deepak Maheshwari, head and controller of Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Medical College and hospital in Jaipur, said there were eight cases in the hospital, with one of the children in severe condition.
Principal and Controller, SMS Medical College, Jaipur Dr Deepak Maheshwari said, “There is some resource of Covid. Cases have increased from before. Eight cases have been reported in the SMS in the last few days. One person has died, but it was not due to COVID. Now we are keeping an eye but whatever cases are coming up, there are cases of milk COVID or respiratory disease. There is Generally no lower respiratory tract involvement. There is upper respiratory tract involvement.”
Chandigarh
Officials said a 40-year-old patient succumbed to virus 19 at the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) (district 32).
Uttar Pradesh
The Uttar Pradesh government has issued an order to retain more than 2,800 employees who have worked in permanent services during past shared services.
The development comes after a sudden surge in coronavirus cases in the country.
Patna, Bihar
With new concerns about the recovery of Covid-19, six new coronavirus infections have been confirmed in Patna, the capital of Bihar, including among health care workers at AIIMS-PATNA.
The latest Spike has prompted hospitals across the state to remain highly alert and quickly resume preventive measures.
Newly infected are female doctors, a female nurse and another employee of AIIMS-Patna, who are currently receiving treatment under the supervision of senior doctors.
Punjab
Punjab Health Minister Balbir Singh said two active COVID cases were reported in Punjab on Wednesday. One patient was from Yamunanagar and the other was from Ambala. Both are receiving treatment.
New variants of COVID
Covid-19 cases have risen again as new variants begin to flow in some parts of the world. The World Health Organization said Wednesday that the rise in cases was mainly in the eastern Mediterranean, Southeast Asia and the Western Pacific.
Airport inspections in the U.S. have found new variants of travelers reaching destinations in California, Washington, Virginia and New York from these areas. The new variant is called NB.1.8.1. It is here as the U.S. formal stance on COVID-19 vaccination is changing.
On Tuesday, Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., by mid-May, the global growth of new variants had reached nearly 11% of sequencing samples.
Thailand surges significantly
In one week, Thailand has reported 53,000 cases. However, according to the government, this situation is under control and they have not imposed any travel restrictions.
