Crunchyroll is bringing more anime to cinemas

Over the past few years, anime movies and premiere episodes have been brought to the big screen and made a lot of money, so Crunchyroll’s new Anime Night Show is achieving that.

At San Diego Comic Fair, the streamers/distributor revealed its plans to place anime on the screen on the third Monday of each month to “remember the past, elevate the present and celebrate the future of anime.” These titles range from fan favorites and anniversary to “curated” TV shows and even previews of the upcoming Hot Series Crunchyroll that really wants to promote. Choosing to participate in the U.S. chain, such as AMC, Regal and Alamo Drafthouse, will be part of the program.

“[This] It is a shared experience that recognizes the art form, invites fans into the world of creators, and brings anime in the theatrical environment,” said Mitchel Berger, executive vice president of business at Crunchyroll. “We are committed to the theatrical experience and watch the beloved anime and friends in the theater in the theater. This is a unique opportunity to connect with the anime community every month to honor their favorite stories. ”

First of all Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: A lonely dragon wants to be loved October 20th, followed by the first seven episodes Overlord On November 17, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the founding of the animation. Then, on December 15, Crunchyroll will exclusively take a look at some of the upcoming anime, and not much is on this at the moment.

Tickets for these distributions are not available yet, but if they play games in your area, they will expect them to be closer to release.
