Crush kills 29 students who take exams after the Central African bombing

A hospital director told the BBC that 29 children taking school exams in the Central African Republic were secretly in love after the explosion nearby caused panic.

Abel Assaye of Bangui Community Hospital said the explosion occurred on a power transformer the day after Wednesday’s high school final.

According to local radio station Ndeke Luka, the “noise of the explosion, coupled with smoke” caused alarm from nearly 6,000 students with bachelor’s degree sitting at a school in the capital.

President Faustin-Archange Touadéra announced a period of national mourning.

He also ordered more than 280 people injured in love to receive free treatment in the hospital.

Students from five different schools in the capital went to Lycée Barthélémy Boganda to take the bachelor’s degree exam.

The Ministry of Education said the explosion occurred at the power transformer recovered by the power transformer, which is located on the ground floor of the main building (the main building that has been under maintenance).

“I also express my sincere condolences to the parents of affected candidates and hope to recover quickly to the injured candidates,” Education Minister Aurelien-Simplice Kongbelet-Zimgas said in a statement.

French Radio talked to a survivor who had his face covered in blood after crawling out of the window.

Magloire explained that the explosion occurred on history and geography exams.

“The students wanted to save lives, and when they ran away, they saw death because there were a lot of people, the door was really small. Not everyone could get out of the car.”

The car continues to face political turmoil and security challenges.
