The $450 console is officially on sale at midnight on June 5, and many retailers offer the device online and in-store. It is predictable that online inventory will soon dry up, and as of Thursday night, online inventory is still under high restrictions.
Broadly speaking, it seems that people have more luck going to physical retail stores. There is still no guarantee that you will be able to grab one this way, but several Engadget employees managed to grab the Switch 2 on Thursday’s local target and GameStop, even if there is no reservation.
If you can’t find the field device, you’ll get the next best chance to get the Switch 2 online look through your goal. The retailer said it will resume online sales of gaming consoles online on Friday, June 6 “early morning,” although it hasn’t had the exact time yet.
