Daniil Medvedev made a smooth start in his career at the Lynk & Co Hangzhou Open on Saturday.

“It’s been a great game for me. I’m happy with the way I’m doing it,” Medvedev said in his stadium interview. “I’m so happy to win. I haven’t won a lot of games, so I’m so happy to win. I really like the city and I love it, so I’m so happy to stay for a few more days.”
Medvedev won nine straight games in nine straight games in the first set to fully control his first Lexus ATP Head2head meeting with Basavareddy.
