Last summer, Foo Fighters lead singer Dave Grohl Shockwaves were sent through the music industry when he announced on Instagram that he had a child outside of his 21-year marriage Jordyn Blum.
Fans were stunned to learn that the 56-year-old star (commonly considered one of the best people in rock music) had deceived his wife and mother of three daughters. No one was more surprised by Grohl's social media revelation than Bloom himself. Sources close to the couple told US Weekly“This is something Jordan can never imagine.”
Seven months later, the two were still picking up the pieces. Grohl “fully” supports his new daughter and her mom, 38-year-old Florida native, sources say Jennifer Young. He is doing his best to regain Blum, 48, and their children, Violet, 19, Harper, 16, and Ophelia, 10. “He knew he was disappointing his family. He was really in a marriage with Jordyn and hoped it was a new chapter for them.”
Stay present
In an Instagram post in September 2024, Grohl vowed to be his new daughter’s “love and supportive parents.” Sources said he fulfilled his promise. Sources explained: “Dave paid for Jennifer and the baby's living and medical expenses [they need]. ”
An insider said Grohl and Young met on a TV show in Washington, D.C. in October 2021, while Grohl promoted his book in town, Storyteller: Story of life and music. According to insiders, Young’s boss – Grole's friend – invited him to the party with the producers, “That was when Dave first met Jennifer.” Sources said Grole and Young had been meeting each other for years. The source revealed: “They had chemistry and added that the incident had been “continued for a while.” As shown in a video scattered on Tiktok, the two even attended the Metallica concert in August 2023.
Sources pointed out that their communication is currently limited to common logistics and they are “not continuing their relationship now.” Young took a walk in New York with her daughter in February and in Los Angeles in March. this New York Post – Reported that the baby was born on August 1 – noted that she had music-related tattoos, including Paul McCartney lyrics and the Metallica logo.
Broken trust
Sources told us. “The hardest part of Jordan is seeing Dave have another family. They have been working together in consultation. “The whole family involves a lot of therapy,” the source said, and Dave's children were deeply frustrated and did not fully deal with his cheating and new babies.
