Delhi NCR Weather Update: IMD issues 2-day yellow alarm; rain, thunderstorm, to relieve heat

Delhi NCR Weather: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a yellow alarm for Delhi and its adjacent National Capital Region (NCR) over the next two days, predicting light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning.
According to the IMD announcement, weather is expected to remain unstable on June 28 and June 29, with rain and thunderstorms likely to occur during the day and at night. Temperatures are also expected to drop, providing some breathing opportunities from the ongoing heat.
On Saturday (June 28), the highest temperature in Delhi may hover around 36 degrees Celsius, while the lowest temperature may settle at 27 degrees Celsius.
Predict light to moderate showers, especially at night and at night, as well as thunderstorms and lightning. According to IMD, humidity levels will remain high, ranging from 55% to 70%.
Sunday rain
Weather activity is expected to intensify on Sunday (June 29), with rainfall likely to occur throughout the day – in the morning, afternoon and evening.
The maximum temperature may drop to 33 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is 26 degrees Celsius, which can be significantly relieved from current heat wave conditions.
Looking ahead, IMD has not issued any alerts for June 30, although possible skies and moderate rainfall may be. Similarly, July 1st May 1st witnessed a thunderstorm, but no warning has been issued so far.
Rainy days will last until July 3
Intermittent rain and thunder may continue from July 2 to 3, but no weather warnings were issued these days. Daytime temperatures are expected to remain between 33 and 35 degrees Celsius during this period, while the lowest temperature may hover around 26-27 degrees Celsius.
“The IMD expects a slight drop in temperatures over the next few days, but it may lead to much-needed relief from heat and improve air quality levels in the region.”
