Alex de Minaur turned his Lexus ATP Head2head series on Saturday at the Laver Cup.
The Australians beat the third player 6-1, 6-4 in the PIF ATP rankings to three points each. Francisco Cerundolo of the team world ended the day against the Holger Rune of the European team.
“I started off the block very quickly and I played some great tennis,” Demeer said. “I know it will only get harder. He is a great competitor. He will make my life very difficult, but I’m proud of myself.” [for] Support yourself at these important moments and achieve great victory for the team world. ”
Zverev led 8-2 in their competition and 8-2 in two wins at De Minaur, which required three tough games to win. But in San Francisco, De Minaur takes advantage of slow, low-point conditions by changing the game.
Former world No. 1 Jim Courier pointed out in his on-field interview that De Minaur played a big role with his backhand slices, such as Roger Federer, who once watched, who had done it.
“I don’t want to say too much,” Demeer said. “But he wrote the script and I just read it.”
According to Infosys ATP statistics, the 10th ATP Tour Titlist saved three of the four breakthrough points he faced and converted four of his seven chances.
