Air India AI2017 flight to London has aborted, returning to the bay due to technical issues

Air India AI 2017 passengers are scheduled to fly from Delhi to London on Thursday, with unexpected delays after the plane stopped taking off and returned to the bay after suspected technical issues.

Cockpit staff decided to stop taking off running under standard operating procedures, according to a statement issued by an Air India spokesperson.

“As a result of suspected technical issues, the AI 2017 flight flew from Delhi to London back to the bay on July 31. The cockpit crew decided to terminate the take-off run in accordance with standard operating procedures and bring the aircraft back to preventive measures. Preventive aircraft are being deployed, and will be deployed to the earliest flight range of London to London, extending our ground to all extensions. The safety and well-being of our passengers remain a top priority in India,” said an Air India spokesman.

The airline has confirmed that it is working to dispatch another aircraft to ensure affected passengers arrive at their destination with minimal delays.

Ground personnel were mobilized to provide assistance and support to those affected.
