Danielle Collins’ 2025 campaign is over, but the pain remains.

The 2024 Miami Open and Charleston champions have been battling back injuries, sharing that she had to visit the hospital recently and continue to recover.

Collins posted on Instagram: “Absolutely the worst thing is, a million miles away from home, feeling sick, my back absolutely killed me and was up all night.” “I don’t know what I would do if they weren’t there to help me take care of me.”

“From taking me to the hospital, driving me all over with the right doctor, letting me have dinner, give me tea, lying in the living room with me, watching that, walking some little walks with me, and when I tell them I need to lie in the car again or warm the seats in the seat, it makes me more enjoyable and make good days better and better.”

Collins, who has endometriosis and rheumatoid arthritis, has been suffering from herniated discs. The injury affected her serve and Collins was unable to bring her racket bag out after she revealed her losses to her friend Taylor Townsend’s Cincinnati last month. After the game, Townsend brought Collins’ bag for her.

The 31-year-old Floridian lost 6-2, 6-0 to Romania’s Jaqueline Cristian in the first round of the U.S. Open last month. Although Collins initially planned to retire by the end of 2024, she suggested she would return to the WTA tour in 2026 if she could recover.
