Elon had to spend nearly an hour talking about Grok without mentioning the Nazi issue

Xai officially lunched during a live broadcast with Elon Musk, who he called it “the smartest AI in the world.” He said if you let the Grok 4 ride SATS and GRE, it will achieve almost perfect results every time and can answer questions you’ve never seen before. He claimed: “Grok 4 is smarter than almost every graduate student in all disciplines.”
Musk and the XAI team presented their benchmarks for Grok 4, which included the “Last Exam for Humanity” which contained 2500 questions curated by experts in mathematics, engineering, physics, chemistry, chemistry, biology, humanities and other subject matters. When it was first released earlier this year, most models reportedly only get unit-number accuracy. Grok 4 is a single proxy version of the model that solves 40% of the benchmark problem. Grok 4 Heavy (multi-proxy version) can solve over 50% of the problems. Xai is now selling a $300 monthly SuperGrok subscription plan that offers access to Grok 4 heavy duty and new features, as well as the higher limits of the Grok 4.
Musk said the new model is better than a doctorate in every discipline. He acknowledges that sometimes it may lack common sense and that new technologies and physics have not been invented or discovered. But Musk believes it’s just a matter of time. He said Grok will invent new technology and maybe he will be shocked if it doesn’t happen next year. However, for the moment, Xai is training AI to be better in terms of image, video understanding and image generation, as it is still “partially blind”.
During the event, Musk talked about combining Grok with Tesla’s Optimus robot so that it can interact with the real world. Musk also said that the most important security for artificial intelligence is seeking truth. He likens AI to a “super talented child” that will eventually move you beyond you, but if you instill it with the right value, you can shape reality and glory.
But what Musk is not talking about is Groke’s recent turn to anti-Semitism. In some recent responses to X users, Grok spitted out anti-Semitic metaphors, praised Hitler and released a text version of the “Roman Tribute”. Musk did respond to posts about issues on X, blaming the rogue user for the issue. “Grok is too compliant to user prompts,” he wrote. “Essentially, too eager to please and be manipulated. This is being resolved.”
