Emilio Nava established his career best grade in the ATP Challenger Tour in Villa Maria, Argentina, where the Americans captured his fourth 2025 title.

Nava returned to action for the first time since the U.S. Open, dropping only one group in the final and ousting Hope Alex Barrena 6-3, 6-3.

β€œI had a great week,” said the bilingual Nava in Spanish. β€œMy team and I did a great job. I like [the Argentine crowd] Because it adds more tension [when facing an Argentine] Everything becomes more interesting when the crowd is 100%. I like it. ”

Nava, coached by Argentine Diego Cristin, won all six Challenger trophys on Clay. Earlier this season, he scored a 19-game streak on the surface, during which he won three titles (Asuncion, Concepcion and Sarasota) and finished second in Tallahassee.

The 23-year-old ranked 90th in the PIF ATP Live rankings last Monday.

Ruling NCAA singles champion Zheng saved two championship points
In other Challenger moves, dominant NCAA singles champion Michael Zheng saved two title points to win his second title of the season. The Columbia star stands out in the National Finals of the Ohio Indoor Columbus Challengers with 3-6, 6-3, 7-5.

Damm aims to win his first Challenger Trophy, returning to the championship 5-4, 15/40 in the final. However, Zheng won the victory, extending his winning streak to 10 since last month. Zheng is 21 years old and ranked 227th in the PIF ATP Live rankings.

Choinski won the title after four consecutive match points in R2
Briton Jan Choinski won Layjet from his almost exit – the Open held by Kronen Zeitung in Bad Waltersdorf, Austria. The 29-year-old scored four straight games in four straight games in the second round, escaping 2-6, 6-1, 7-6 (6) and using his motivation to cancel his third Challenger Trophy and sixth place. Choinski beat Vit Kopriva 7-5, 6-4 in the final.

Tuniasian Echargui wins the third trophy in a matter of months
Tunisia’s Moez Echargui won his third Challenger title in the Saint-Tropez Open. Echargui defeated Frenchman Dan 6-3, 6-4 in the final. In July, the 32-year-old became the second-biggest Challenger Champion with his victory in Porto.

The first three Stan Wawrinka entered the Saint-Tropez semifinals but withdrew before Saturday’s match against added match due to a left hamstring injury. Wawrinka, 40, reached the Challenger final last week in Rennes, France.

Agamenone has promoted its first championship in more than two years
Italy’s Franco Agamenone has returned to the winner’s circle for the first time since July 2023. The 32-year-old won Intaro Open 2 in Romania’s Targu Mures, where he beat top-seeded Jay Clarke 6-3, 6-4 in the final. Agamenone is the five-time Challenger Champion.
