Ather Energy launches a 450s 3.7kWh variant with extended range and new features
Ather Energy expands its popular 450 series by introducing a new 450S version, which is powered by a larger 3.7kWh battery pack. The upgraded scooter costs Rs 1,45,999 (formerly showroom Bangalore), and a single fee offers an IDC certification range of 161 km, offering a compelling range and performance combination.
The new variant is designed to bridge the gap between the entry-level 450S (2.9kWh) and the premium 450X, with target riders looking to expand the battery range without the added cost of advanced software features.
Same power, better range
The 450s 3.7kWh retains the Ather’s signature design language, including a sharp body and a full LED headlight setup. Despite the greater battery power, the scooter maintains its agile handling and dynamic riding quality.

It continues to be powered by a 5.4kW motor that provides 22nm of torque and achieves acceleration of 0-40 km/h in just 3.9 seconds. The scooter has a top speed of 90 km/h and offers four riding modes: Smarteco, Eco, Ride and Sport.
Loading technology features
The 450s 3.7kWh comes with a 7-inch DeepView display, Bluetooth connectivity, turn navigation, and a lot of smart features like Autohold, Fallsafe, emergency stop signal, theft and trailer alerts, and Amazon Alexa Alexa Integration via Atherstack Pro.
It also supports OTA (over-the-air) updates and is fully compatible with the Ather Grid fast charging network, which now has over 3300 charging points in India.

Valid charging and long-term warranty
With Ather’s home charging setup, 0% to 80% of the home takes only 4 hours and 30 minutes. The scooter is covered by Ather’s “880” warranty plan, which provides 8 years or 80,000 km of coverage and ensures at least 70% of the battery health.
