A new FaceTime feature in iOS 26 highlighted by IDEVICEHELP ends at least some potentially unpleasant situations, because it stops the video if someone undresses on a FaceTime phone.

The videos of other participants will be paused and you will see a message saying, “The audio and video are paused because you may show something sensitive. If you feel uncomfortable, you should end the call.” Two possible options are provided: restore the audio and video, or end the call.

As 9to5mac points out, Apple actually announced something similar last month, as part of a new home tool for children’s accounts.
“When nudes are detected in FaceTime video calls, communication security expands to intervention and blurs nudes in shared albums in photos,” Apple said in an announcement at the time.

However, it seems that it has been extended to all users. The feature is currently live in iOS 26 Developer Beta; once iOS 26 public beta is available, it should be done sometime in July to see if it sticks.
