Burrell’s family confirms her death US Weekly Tuesday, June 17. The New York Police Department later confirmed that the chef was pronounced dead after being found “unresponsive” in her apartment. The cause of death is not yet known.
“Anne is a beloved wife, sister, daughter, stepmother and friend-her smile illuminates every room she enters,” Burrell’s family said in a statement. “Anne’s light shines far beyond the people she knows and has moved millions of people around the world. Although she is no longer with us, her warmth, spirit and infinite love are still eternal.”
Burrell is survived by Claxton and Stepson Javier, as well as her mother, Marlene and sister Jane.
After the news of Burrell’s death broke out, the culinary community gathered to pay tribute and express their condolences.
“We are very sad to share the news that beloved chef Anne Burrell died this morning,” the Food Network wrote in a statement Tuesday. “Anne is an amazing person and culinary talent – teaching, competing, and always sharing the importance of food in her life and the joy that delicious food can bring. Our thoughts are with Anne’s family, friends and fans in a time of great loss.”

Burrell is known for his co-ordination The worst chef in America. The chef has not returned to the latest season of the cooking competition and has already started performing classes. The day before her death, Burrell made his first appearance on an impromptu comedy show in New York City, Brooklyn’s second city.
