Apple has shipped 3 billion iPhones now

Tim Cook revealed in a call for the company’s third-quarter revenue that Apple has shipped 300 million iPhones. The company released its first iPhone in 2007 and sold a billion iPhones in 2016. It is believed to have shipped 2 billion iPhones sometime in 2021, and now it has reached a new milestone just four years later. Apple’s CEO said the iPhone’s growth increased by double digits in the third quarter, with the company’s revenue of $94 billion, a 10% year-on-year increase. In a tweet, Apple expert Mark Gurman suggested that iPhone sales in the past quarter were purchased by people who fear the device would not be accessible in the future due to Trump tariffs.
Apple should be very happy with people who spread lies, and if made in the United States, the iPhone will cost $3,000 or $25,000, which will help the June quarter.

Cook said during the call that when it comes to tariffs, they lost $800 million in the quarter ending in June. In the next quarter ending in September, Apple believes tariffs will cost the company $1.1 billion.
Apple plans to announce its next iPhone model within a few weeks, probably sometime in September, just like last year’s device. Gurman has previously reported that Apple is releasing this generation of iPhone 17 Air to match the air models of other products. It will reportedly be a designated ultra-thin phone, which will have a single camera lens and be powered by the basic A19 chip. The phone can also be equipped with Apple’s internal modem, which debuts with the iPhone 16E and comes with a 6.6-inch screen. It could cost buyers about $900, $100 more than the base iPhone 16, and it’s about the iPhone 16 Plus.
In addition to announcing Apple’s three billion iPhones, Cook also announced on the phone that the company is “significantly developing investment in artificial intelligence.” He said that although he did not state any specific company Apple may buy, it is not impossible to improve its AI efforts and accelerate its acquisition of its roadmap.
