Future Polish president calls ivory the worst prime minister since 1989”
Poland’s incoming president Karol Nawrocki made it clear on Thursday that he plans to bring life to Prime Minister Donald Tusk, describing the prime minister as “the worst” in the country since the fall of the Iron Curtain.
Nawrocki, a right-wing populist who will beat the Ivory-backed candidate in a razor free throw vote in June, said he did not rule out a meeting with Tusk and said in a comment to the Polish agency PAP that he did not rule out a meeting with Tusk.
But he added: “I was not in a hurry to meet Prime Minister Donald Tusk, who I always thought was the worst Prime Minister since 1989.”
However, Nawrocki acknowledged that the Polish public wanted the state and heads of government to remain in touch with the interests of the country.
After the collapse of the Iron Curtain, Tadeusz Mazowiecki in 1989 became the first non-communist prime minister of Eastern European countries since World War II.
Tusk, 68, has served as president of the European Council and has held a position for more than nine years, making him the longest-serving prime minister to date.
Among the rapidly changing prime minister captains, the liberal (68) served as prime minister for the longest term in nine years. He is also the President of the European Council.
Nawrocki, 42, discussed the upcoming inauguration with Parliament President Szymon Hołownia.
