Hate criminal attacks on trans women investigated by LAPD

Los Angeles police detectives are asking for public help to find several suspects linked to repeated hate crimes by a transgender woman near West Lake in the city.

The agency released photos of three suspects on Monday, hoping to identify the people. Detectives also said they hope other victims will come forward.

LAPD officials said in a press release that one of the suspects allegedly sexually assaulted the 61-year-old woman after refusing progress within his West Lake store. After discovering she is trans, the suspect was “pulled away and threatened to kill the victim” and left.

The second and third suspects in LAPD are seeking in connection with the attack on a woman in Westlake.

However, the suspects later returned to the location with others several times, and they “dealed with hate crimes against the victims.”

Once, they hit her with a skateboard. Police officials said there was another time when they threw it on her. Recently, one person threw some liquid at the woman, while the other tried to shock her with a Taser.
