Mick Jagger fiancé Melanie Hamrick embraces privacy in romance

Melanie Hamrick Perhaps engaged to one of the most famous rock stars on the planet, but that doesn't mean she's willing to treat her private life like an open book.

“I think the family is so personal, it’s a bubble,” Hamrick, 37, told exclusively US Weekly Thursday, May 8, at the New York City Ballet Springs Gala at the David H. Koch Theatre.

She added with a smile: “It’s nice to share something, but it’s like ballet: it needs a mystery or people will get tired of you.”

The performance of the night included the use of masks and highlighted the mystery. When asked about her love to be a mysterious public figure, Hamrick herself is a former ballerina – reiterating: “My private life.”

She continued: “I love the Kardashians, but I’m not very comfortable in public.”

“Maybe we'll get married one day, maybe not,” Hamrick told The Outlet at the time. “We are so happy in our current lives that I’m so scared of changing anything.”

Jagger and Hamrick met in 2014 after receiving free tickets to the show with her American Ballet Theatre members. The two are 44 years apart and have started dating shortly after 2015.

She explained to us: “I am on the board of the New York City Ballet. I am a dancer at the American Ballet Theatre and it's fun to attend all the events.”

“This is my first big themed party,” she added.
